Xander Schauffele became a first-time major champion two months ago at the PGA Championship. He added to his collection of major hardware on Sunday at Royal Troon with a masterful performance that netted him $3.1 million and the Claret Jug.
After starting the final round one shot behind 54-leader Billy Horschel, Schauffele made back-to-back birdies on Nos. 6 and 7 before turning his attention to Troon’s punishing back nine. With the tournament on the line, Schauffele found another gear and added four birdies in a six-hole stretch (Nos. 11-16) to grab a lead he would never relinquish.
Take a closer look at the equipment setup Schauffele used to win the 2024 Open Championship.
